Jewish Healing Network
Jewish Family & Community Services received a
phone call from an elderly Jewish woman in South Florida. She said that her brother was in the hospital in Jacksonville,
but she couldn't get any information, and was too frail to travel up to visit him. She asked JFCS for assistance.
A Jewish Healing Network volunteer made a visit, and soon began regular communication with the sister. When the
man passed away, the volunteer was the first to call, and the sister expressed gratitude for the involvement of
a caring individual in the last days of her brother's life.
