I miss my Mom

My Mom sometimes drinks a lot.

One day the police came to my house because they were told it was really dirty. I stayed home from school to try to clean up, but it was still messy. Our refrigerator didn't work and there wasn't much to eat. My teachers at school were worried about me too. I had to leave my Mom and live somewhere else. I love my Mom and want to be with her.

The goal of the foster care program is to return a child to his/her family by ensuring a safe transition to a permanent, stable home. This scenario offers the best long-term success for that child and his family. When the child's home remains unsuitable or unsafe, placement with a relative or non-relative is preferred. If these options are not available, the child is placed in a foster home where ongoing care management is provided. Adoption by a foster family is also encouraged. The main objective is to establish a stable placement that best benefits the child.
