Adoptive Parents Services

Creating Loving Families Through Adoption

First Coast Adoption Professionals (FCAP), a division of JFCS, has been matching adop- tive parents with infants and children for over fifty years.

FCAP’s reputation as an exceptionally dedicated and knowledgeable child placing/adoption agency has earned us the respect of communities, licensing agencies and law associations whenever and wherever our services have touched families. If you’re considering adoption, we’re the experienced and caring choice.

Individualized Adoption Plans

We facilitate semi-open adoptions, which provide the birth mother with active participation in the adoptive parent selection and decision process. First Coast Adoption Professionals guides you through every step of adoption, from the initial application to the final adoption.

Most importantly, we’re here to give you emotional support to deal with the inevitable ups and downs of the adoption process.

Broad Geographic Reach

We are a child placement/adoption agency licensed in Florida, Connecticut and New York. We work with agencies around the United States, matching families with children.

Home Studies

Our licensed staff conducts state-regulated home studies and post-placement visits. The purpose of these studies is to get to know you, your family members and the home environment you would provide to an adopted child.

This in-depth study includes review of your background, employment, income, education, lifestyle, values, feelings about parenting and parenthood, your family life and more.

We do this not only to comply with state law but also to help us make the best match possible for both you and the child.

If you’re considering adoption, contact us toll-free at 1-800-262-2186, or email us at adoptions@jfcsjax.org. All contacts will be held in strictest confidence.
