The
Decision to Adopt
Adopting
a child can be a wonderful fulfilling life experience. At the
same time, it is a serious, long-term commitment that should be
considered carefully. We hope this brochure will provide a guide
to the services and support available through FCAP, a caring,
licensed child-placement agency with full legal representation.
Florida Families
- We
work directly with adoptive parents coordinationg complete and
individual Adoption Plans.
- We
provide birthparent counseling throughout the pregnancy as well
as after placement.
- Document
preparations and court appearances
- All
professional services to finalize the adoption
Out-of-State
Families
- Includes
all services provided to Florida families listed above. In addition;
- All
work and documentation needed to facilitate approval by the
Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children.
Legal
Services
SHORSTEIN
& KELLY, P.A. Michael Shorstein and Brian Kelly serve as the agency's
legal counsel. They are members in good standing of the American
Academy of Adoption Attorneys, a national organization that continues
to study, promote, and improve the laws and practices pertaining
to the adoption of children throughout the United States. Mr.
Shorstein's practice is limited solely to adoption law.
