Support Groups and Workshops
Sometimes the best way to tackle a problem is to talk with others facing the same situation. That's why we offer
a variety of support groups and workshops, led by licensed social workers and mental health counselors.
Professional Meetings
The Florida Association for Play Therapy (Northeast Chapter) meets on the second Friday of every month from 9:00-10:30 am. At JFCS' Dupont Office.
The FAPT is a group of mental health professionals in the community interested in promoting and learning more about play therapy approaches in working with children and their families. We offer trainings, case consultation, information on evidenced-based theory and practice interventions as well as support in working with children in different settings.
Caregiver Connections
A telephone support group offered monthly. A unique format for the at-home, long-distance or working caregiver, offering a wide range of discussion topics and tips.
